It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household?

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

Many of them said, “He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?”

The Jews answered Him, “Do we not rightly say that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham and the prophets died, and You say, ‘If a man keeps My word, he shall never taste death.’

Others mocking said, “These men are full of new wine.”
