All the people who heard Him, including the tax collectors, acknowledged God as righteous, having been baptized with the baptism of John.

Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified when you speak, and blameless when You pass judgment.

Then I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are righteous, O Lord, who is and was and who is to be, because You have judged these things.

Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings whose thumbs and big toes were cut off once collected scraps of food under my table. Just as I have done, so God has repaid me.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
