Fear came on everyone. And they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us!” and “God has visited His people!”

They were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen wonderful things today.”

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

He who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother.

Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw it, he said to himself, “If this Man were a prophet, He would have known who and what kind of woman she is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

Then the whole crowd from the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked Him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So He went into the boat and returned.

They answered, “John the Baptist. But some say Elijah. And others say that one of the old prophets has risen.”

They asked him, “Who then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”

They asked him, “Why do you baptize then, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

When those men saw the sign which He had done, they then said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Then they said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”

On hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. And great fear came on all those who heard these things.

“This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.’

And they glorified God because of me.

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You must listen to him.
