“They said to him, ‘Master, he has ten pounds.’
So he called him and said, ‘How is it that I hear this about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you may no longer be steward.’
Yet this was comparatively insignificant in Your sight, Lord God, for You have also spoken about Your servant’s house into the distant future. Is this Your manner with man, Lord God?
“Then he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the pound from him and give it to him who has ten pounds.’
“ ‘I tell you that to everyone who has will be given. But from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away from him.
