On the Sabbath they watched Him as He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees to eat bread.

The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.

And if he comes to see me, he speaks vain words; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; when he goes out, he tells it.

The scribes and the Pharisees watched Him to see whether He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against Him.

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

But a Pharisee in the Sanhedrin named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law honored by all the people, stood and ordered the apostles to be put outside for a little while.
