When a person sins in hearing the spoken oath, and he is a witness, whether he saw or knew about the incident, if he does not report it, he bears guilt.

The king said to him, “How many times must I admonish you to tell me only the truth in the name of the Lord?”

“If any man sins against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath comes before Your altar in this house,

Then the king said to him, “How many times must I cause you to swear that you speak to me only truth in the name of the Lord?”

For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

then there will be an oath before the Lord between both of them that he has not laid his hand upon his neighbor’s property. And its owner must accept this, and he will not have to make restitution.

He who is a partner with a thief hates his own soul; he vows to tell the truth, but discloses nothing.

lest I be full and deny You, and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God.

He shall see of the anguish of his soul and be satisfied. By his knowledge My righteous servant shall justify the many, for he shall bear their iniquities.

For the land is full of adulterers; for the land mourns because of the curse. The pleasant places of the wilderness have dried up. And their course is evil and their might is not right.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the punishment of the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the punishment of the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

Behold, all souls are Mine. As the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins shall die.

But if he does not wash them or bathe his body, then he shall bear his iniquity.

Therefore everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has defiled what is holy of the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

If a man lies with his sister, whether the daughter of his father or mother, they have exposed each other’s nakedness; it is a wicked thing and they shall be cut off from the sight of their people. He has exposed his sister’s nakedness, and he shall bear his iniquity.

Speak to the Israelites, saying: When a person sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord that should not be done, and he violates one of them,

When a person acts unfaithfully and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lord, then for his restitution offering to the Lord he shall bring a ram without blemish from the flock—or its equivalent, in your estimation, in shekels of silver (using the sanctuary shekel) —for a guilt offering.

If a person sins unintentionally and does any one of the things that by commandments of the Lord should not be done and he is found guilty, he shall bear his iniquity.

If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, the one eating shall not be accepted, nor shall it be imputed to him who offers it. It shall be contaminated, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.

But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, even the same person will be cut off from his people. Because he did not bring the offering of the Lord at its appointed time, that man will bear his sin.

But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to Him, “I adjure You by the living God, tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.”

He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.”

He said to his mother, “The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from you, on which you put a curse, even speaking the curse in my ears—behold, the silver with me. I took it.” Then his mother said, “May the Lord bless my son!”
