Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, have I ever spoken a word to anyone from the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, “Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?”

and I will dwell among the people of Israel and will not forsake My people Israel.”

I have surely built You a house to dwell in, a settled place for You to abide in forever.”

“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less can this house that I have built?

Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.

His abode is in Salem, His dwelling place in Zion.

When God heard this, He was filled with wrath and greatly abhorred Israel,

Let them make Me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.

I will dwell among the Israelites and will be their God.

Then they will know that I am the Lord their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I may dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.

Do not abhor us. For Your name’s sake, do not disgrace Your glorious throne. Remember and do not break Your covenant with us.

The Lord has scorned His altar, He has disowned His sanctuary; He has given up the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the house of the Lord as on the day of a solemn feast.

Then you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other. And My people will never again be shamed.

You shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

if you despise My statutes, or if you abhor My judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, but you break My covenant,

But the land shall be abandoned by them, and enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them. They shall make amends for their iniquity, because they despised My judgments and because they abhorred My statutes.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor will I abhor them to destroy them utterly and to break My covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.

I destroyed the three shepherds in the span of one month. For my soul was impatient with them, and their souls detested me.

in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God through the Spirit.

When the Lord saw it, He despised them, because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.

If indeed your own land is unclean, then cross over to the land of the Lord where the tabernacle of the Lord stands and take land among us. Yet do not rebel against the Lord or rebel against us by building an altar other than the altar of the Lord our God.

Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest said to the descendants of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh, “Today we know that the Lord is in our midst because you did not violate your obligations to the Lord in this matter. Indeed, you have delivered the Israelites from the judgment of the Lord.”

And I heard a loud voice from heaven, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them. They shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.

Therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
