And the goat shall bear on it all their iniquities to a desolate land, and he shall let the goat go free in the wilderness.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor recompensed us according to our iniquities.

as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be remembered against him. Because of his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.

He will again have compassion upon us. He will tread down our iniquities, and cast all of our sins into the depths of the sea.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us—as it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” —

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to save those who eagerly wait for Him.

He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.”
