Speak to the Israelites, saying: If a woman has conceived and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in the days of her monthly menstruation she shall be unclean.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, and in pain you will bring forth children; your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
So David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her. When she had purified herself from her uncleanness, she returned to her house.
But if she gives birth to a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks as in her monthly menstruation, and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying for sixty-six days.
If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart for seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.
Or when he touches human uncleanness, any uncleanness by which he may become unclean, and he did not realize it, when he realizes it, then he shall be guilty.
