Let the creditor seize all that he has, and let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire; strangers devour your land in your presence; and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

Then the lambs shall feed in their pasture, and strangers shall eat in the waste places of the wealthy.

Your holy people possessed Your sanctuary for a little while; our adversaries have trodden it down.

You, even yourself, will discontinue from your inheritance that I gave you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you do not know; for you have kindled a fire in My anger which will burn forever.

Their houses shall be turned to others, with their fields and wives together; for I will stretch out My hand upon the inhabitants of the land, says the Lord.

I will give it into the hands of the strangers as plunder and to the wicked of the earth for destruction, and they shall pollute it.

Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses; I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease, and their holy places shall be defiled.

For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no head and will yield no flour. If it were to yield, foreigners would swallow it up.

Israel is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations as a vessel in which there is no pleasure.

Their goods will be plundered, and their houses laid waste. Though they build houses, they will not inhabit them; though they plant vineyards, they will not drink from their wine.
