The Lord said to Gideon, “With three hundred men who lapped, I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. All the rest of the people should go home.”
So the three hundred men took provisions and trumpets in their hands. Gideon sent all the other men of Israel to their tents, but he kept the three hundred men. Now the Midianite camp was below him in the valley.
Jonathan said to the young man bearing his armor, “Come, and let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. Perhaps the Lord will work for us, for the Lord is not limited to save by many or by few.”
Then David again inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered him and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah because I am giving the Philistines into your hand.”
