The border rises to the Valley of Ben-hinnom, to the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem), then rises to the top of the hill west of the Valley of Ben-hinnom, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.

Now the Philistines had come and were spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.

Once again, the Philistines went up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.

He defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so that no man would make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech.

Now David and all Israel with him went to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus, since the Jebusites still dwelt there in the land).

And he made sacrifices in the Valley of Ben-hinnom, and he burned his sons in the fire according to the detestable acts of the nations that the Lord had displaced before the Israelites.

The people of Judah were not able to drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, so the Jebusites live with the people of Judah in Jerusalem to this day.

The border then descends to the foot of the mountain that lies by the Valley of Ben-hinnom, which is at the north end of the Valley of Rephaim. It descends from the Hinnom Valley to the slope of the Jebusites, then down to En-rogel.

Zelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath—fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin according to their clans.

However, the tribe of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, so the Jebusites live with the tribe of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.

Then Judah waged war against Jerusalem. They captured it, struck it with the edge of the sword, and sent the city up in flames.

Yet the man did not want to spend the night, so he got up and left and approached Jebus (that is, Jerusalem). Two saddled donkeys and his concubine were with him.
