but they did not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds surround them; they are before My face.

“Get up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.”

So Jonah got up and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly large city, a three-day journey across.

Should I not, therefore, be concerned about Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than one hundred and twenty thousand people, who do not know their right hand from their left, and also many animals?”

But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.

For her sins have reached up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
