On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly as required.

I stretch forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You like a thirsty land.    Selah

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Wisdom cries out in the street, she raises her voice in the markets.

Does not wisdom cry out and understanding raise her voice?

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.

Beside the gates in front of the city, at the entrance of the doors she cries out:

She has sent out her maidens, and she calls out from the highest places in the city,

I came to my garden, my sister, my bride; I gathered my myrrh with my spice. I ate my honeycomb with my honey, and I drank my wine with my milk. Eat, my friends! Drink, and be drunk, O lovers!

Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Speak kindly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been pardoned, that she has received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.

The voice said, “Cry out.” And he said, “What shall I cry out?” All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is as the flower of the field.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring;

Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Listen, so that your soul may live, and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Cry aloud, do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins.

O  Lord, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to You from the remote parts of the earth, and will say: Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.

Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the Lord: I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, when you followed Me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

Every living creature that swarms, wherever the rivers go, will live. And there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come there and the others become fresh. Thus everything shall live wherever the river comes.

For seven days you shall offer food offerings made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall offer a food offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a solemn assembly, and you shall do no regular work.

On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall keep a feast to the Lord for seven days. On the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

The voice of the Lord calls to the city— and wisdom will fear Your name: Heed the rod and Him who has appointed it.

The Lord of Hosts will protect them. They will devour up and subdue them with stone slingers. And they will drink and make noise as with wine; they will be filled with blood as a bowl, saturated like the corners of the altar.

On the eighth day you will have a solemn assembly. You will do no ordinary work on it.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’ ”

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

John said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ just as the prophet Isaiah said.”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?

but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water that I shall give him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life.”

Yet you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me shall never hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.

All whom the Father gives Me will come to Me, and he who comes to Me I will never cast out.

For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple, cried out, “You know Me and you likewise know where I am from. I have not come on My own authority, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

In the same manner He took the cup after He had supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether we are slaves or free, and we have all been made to drink of one Spirit.

Do not be drunk with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit.

He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the spring of the water of life to him who thirsts.

Then he showed me a pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let him who hears say, “Come.” Let him who is thirsty come. Let him who desires take the water of life freely.
