Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.”

But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

I can do nothing of Myself. As I hear, I judge. My judgment is just, because I seek not My own will, but the will of the Father who sent Me.

“I have greater testimony than that of John. The works which the Father has given Me to finish, the very works that I do, bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

In all things I have shown you how, working like this, you must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’  ”

Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
