And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives. But if her husband dies, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will, but only in the Lord.

Marriage is to be honored among everyone, and the bed undefiled. But God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.

“He will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you did it not for one of the least of these, you did it not for Me.’

“The King will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.’

When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

After this He, and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples went down to Capernaum. They remained there a few days.

His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.”

Therefore, when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them. And they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea. He remained with them there and baptized.

(though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples),

For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

Therefore the disciples said one to another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him,

When they were filled, He told His disciples, “Collect the fragments that remain, that nothing may be lost.”

Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea.

When they heard this, many of His disciples said, “This is a hard saying. Who can listen to it?”

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked no more with Him.

So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

Jesus answered them, “Have I not chosen you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil?”

He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. For it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You do.

When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a considerable crowd. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Then every disciple, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea.
