Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and I said nothing in secret.

Here He is, speaking publicly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers indeed know that this is really the Christ?

Jesus went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all sorts of diseases among the people.

Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there I am. And now the Lord God has sent me and His Spirit.

Each day He was teaching in the temple, and each night He went out and stayed on the mountain called the Mount of Olives.

For no one does anything in secret, while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, reveal Yourself to the world.”

He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by everyone.

At that same moment Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a thief to take Me with swords and clubs? Daily I sat with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me.

Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

I have not spoken in secret in a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, “Seek Me in a waste place”; I, the Lord, speak righteousness; I declare things that are right.

I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true. So I tell the world what I heard from Him.”

Early in the morning He returned to the temple. All the people came to Him, and He sat down and taught them.

Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple, cried out, “You know Me and you likewise know where I am from. I have not come on My own authority, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching.

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has uttered blasphemy. What further need do we have for witnesses? See, now you have heard His blasphemy.

The king, before whom I also speak freely, knows about these things. For I am persuaded that none of this is hidden from him, for this was not done in a corner.

“So, if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert,’ do not go there; or, ‘Look, He is in the private chambers,’ do not believe it.

I have proclaimed the glad news of righteousness in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, O  Lord, as You know.

I will declare Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You.

He said this openly. And Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him.

He said these things in the synagogue, as He taught in Capernaum.

Why do you ask Me? Ask those who heard Me and what I have said to them. Certainly they know what I said.”
