Therefore you now have sorrow. But I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when He hides His face, who then can behold Him, whether it is done against a nation or against a man only?

While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

For our heart will rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

It shall be said in that day: Behold, this is our God, for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

“In a little while you will not see Me. And then after a little while you will see Me, because I am going to the Father.”

Truly, truly I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

Rather, sorrow has filled your heart, because I have told you these things.

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he had taken it off, and jumped into the sea.

but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water that I shall give him will become in him a well of water springing up into eternal life.”

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

And continuing daily with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Then they departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who has loved us and has given us eternal consolation and good hope through grace,

So that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

whom, having not seen, you love; and in whom, though you do not see Him now, you believe and you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory,
