Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for My name’s sake, said, “Let the Lord be glorified that we may see your joy.” Yet they shall be ashamed.

You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

You will be hated by all men for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

“Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. And you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

“Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

You will be hated by all men for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

“But before all these things, they will seize you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.

You will be hated by all men for My name’s sake,

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they separate you from their company and insult you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin. But now have they seen and hated both My Father and Me.

They will do these things to you, because they have not known the Father nor Me.

“O righteous Father, the world has not known You, but I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me.

Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also.”

Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing. It is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say that He is your God.

Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. If I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you. But I know Him and keep His word.

For as I passed by and looked up at your objects of worship, I found an altar with this inscription: to the unknown god. Therefore, whom you worship as unknown, Him I proclaim to you.

“I myself was convinced that I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“Now brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

But lest it spread further among the people, let us warn them no more to speak to anyone in this name.”

Then they departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.”

For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not proper.

Awake to righteousness and do not sin, for some do not have the knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

None of the rulers of this age knew it. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Consider how much love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

For His name’s sake they went out, receiving no help from the Gentiles.

You have endured, and have been patient, and for My name’s sake have labored and have not grown weary.
