Then Jesus, again groaning within Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.

After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.

What right do you have here? And whom do you have here that you have dug out for yourself a tomb here, as he who hews out for himself a tomb on high, and who cuts a habitation for himself in a rock?

As for you, son of man, groan with breaking heart and bitter grief, groan before their eyes.

And the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan for all the abominations that are done in its midst.”

and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out of the rock. And he rolled a large stone to the door of the tomb and departed.

So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and posting the guard.

So he bought fine linen, and taking Him down, wrapped Him in the linen and laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

He sighed deeply in His spirit and said, “Why does this generation look for a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.”

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.

Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb while it was still dark and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
