“What is man, that You should exalt him, and that You should set Your heart on him,
But someone in a certain place testified, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him?
what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You attend to him?
Lord, what is man, that You take regard of him? Or the son of a man, that You are mindful of him?
Am I the sea, or a sea monster, that You set a guard over me?
“After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom are you pursuing? After a dead dog? A single flea?
“Can a man be profitable to God, as he who is wise may be profitable to himself?
how much less man, who is a maggot? And the son of man, who is a worm?”
Do You open Your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with You?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor.
