yet He sets the poor on high out of affliction, and makes their families like a flock.

For He stands at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.

I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor.

All my bones shall say, “Lord, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?”

May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.

Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,

Now God had brought Daniel into favor and compassion with the master of the officials.
