Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him who does not know God.”

Great men are not always wise, nor do the aged always understand judgment.

But if they do not obey, they will perish by the sword, and they will die without knowledge.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the dwelling place of the wicked will come to nothing.”

Those who see you shall stare at you and ponder over you: “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble and shook kingdoms,

Cease regarding man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for why should he be esteemed?

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This night your soul will be required of you. Then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

For the sun rises with a burning heat and it withers the grass, and its flowers fall, and its beauty perishes. So will the rich man wither away in his ways.
