The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

They will walk after the Lord, who roars like a lion. When He roars, His children will come trembling from the west.

He crouches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who will stir him up? “Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.”

Behold, a people rises up as a lioness, and lifts himself up as a lion; it shall not lie down until it eats the prey and drinks the blood of the slain.”

Judah is a lion’s cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches and lies down like a lion; and as a lion, who dares rouse him?

May his children be far from safety, and may they be crushed in the gate without a deliverer;

But the needy He saves from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

His children will seek favor from the poor, and his hands will give back his wealth.

I broke the jaws of the wicked and plucked the victim from his teeth.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
