that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
For He looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven,
Therefore He knows their works, and He overturns them in the night so that they are destroyed.
He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others,
He does not preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the poor.
He lets it loose under the whole heaven, and His lightning unto the ends of the earth.
“Have you commanded the morning in your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,
It is turned like clay by the seal, and it stands out as a garment.
May sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord!
So Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal place when the morning appeared, while the Egyptians fled against it, so the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
