He will not depart out of darkness; the flame will dry out his branches, and by the breath of His mouth he will go away.

He has neither descendant nor posterity among his people, nor anyone remaining in his dwellings.

He will give back the produce of labor and will not swallow it down. According to his wealth the restitution will be, and he will not rejoice in it;

They gather their fodder in the field, and they glean in the vineyard of the wicked.

For it is a fire that consumes to destruction and would root out all my increase.

Let his posterity be cut off, and in the generation following let his name be blotted out.

then I will do this to you: I will visit you with terror, with wasting disease, and with a fever that shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart, and you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

You will sow, but not reap; you will tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil; you will crush grapes, but not drink wine.

For in this is the saying true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’

You will carry a lot of seed out into the field but will gather but little in, for the locust will consume it.

They will eat the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, wine, or oil, or the offspring of your herd or the offspring of your sheep, until they have destroyed you.

“The Lord God of gods, the Lord God of gods, He knows, and may Israel know—if we have acted in rebellion or disloyalty against the Lord, do not spare us today.
