And why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, whom God has hedged in?
He has fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and He has set darkness in my paths.
He has hedged me in so that I cannot get out; He has made my chain heavy.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my justice escapes the notice of my God”?

You put my feet in the stocks and watch closely all my paths; You draw a line around the soles of my feet.
