my lips will not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

Will you speak wickedly for God? And talk deceitfully for Him?

though not for any violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.

“If it is not so, who will prove me a liar and make my speech worth nothing?”

My words will be from the uprightness of my heart, and my lips will utter knowledge clearly.

Should I lie concerning my right? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’

“And now, please give me your attention, for surely I will not lie to you.

Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. If I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you. But I know Him and keep His word.

As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
