All my close friends abhorred me, and they whom I love are turned against me.

Even my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up the heel against me.

But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; he has violated his covenant.

My friends and my companions stand aloof from my affliction, and relatives stand far off.

My relatives have failed, and my close friends have forgotten me.

Yes, young children despise me; I arose, and they spoke against me.

You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an abomination to them; I am shut in and I cannot get out;

For now you are nothing; you see terror and are afraid.

But You, O Lord, be gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.
