Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; yes, your own lips testify against you.

As your servant was busy here and there, he disappeared.” And the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your judgment be; you have decided it yourself.”

The steps of his strength will be shortened, and his own counsel will cast him down.

“Will you indeed annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me, that you may be righteous?

‘Who is he who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me which I did not know.

Though I were righteous, my own mouth would condemn me; though I were perfect, it would prove me perverse.

So He will bring ruin to them with their own tongues; all who see them will shake their heads.

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has uttered blasphemy. What further need do we have for witnesses? See, now you have heard His blasphemy.

“He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth will I judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an exacting man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.
