Let him who is deceived not trust in futility, for futility will be his reward.

With Him are strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver are His.

“If I have walked in vanity, or if my foot has hurried after deceit,

Surely God will not hear vanity, nor will the Almighty regard it.

Just like I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble, reap the same.

Trust not in oppression; put no vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.

He who sows injustice will reap iniquity, and the rod of his wrath will disappear.

for there will be no future for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside so that he cannot deliver his soul, or say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”

No one calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies; they conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.

Thus says the Lord: Do not deceive yourselves, saying, “The Chaldeans will surely depart from us,” for they will not depart.

For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no head and will yield no flour. If it were to yield, foreigners would swallow it up.

“Those who follow vain idols forsake their true loyalty.

For if someone thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.
