He will not be rich, nor will his wealth continue, nor will his possessions spread over the earth.
The light will be dark in his tent, and his candle beside him will be put out.
Nothing is left for him to eat; therefore his prosperity will not endure.
So he called him and said, ‘How is it that I hear this about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you may no longer be steward.’
For the sun rises with a burning heat and it withers the grass, and its flowers fall, and its beauty perishes. So will the rich man wither away in his ways.
