And the Lord said to the Adversary, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and an upright man, who fears God, and avoids evil?”

Now there had been no king like him before or after, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses.

The former governors preceding me had extracted a heavy burden on the people, because they took from them food and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Moreover, even their servants domineered over the people. But I myself never did so, because of the fear of God.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, fearing God and avoiding evil.

“I am a laughingstock to my neighbor, who calls upon God, and He answers him; the righteous, upright man is a laughingstock.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and the Adversary came also among them to present himself before the Lord.

The Lord said to the Adversary, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and an upright man, who fears God and avoids evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you moved Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”

If He sets His heart on man, if He gathers unto Himself His Spirit and His breath,

“Surely, God will not cast away a perfect man, nor will He strengthen the evildoers,

I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

An oracle within my heart about the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Depart from evil, and do good; so shall you abide forever.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him,

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and perverse speech do I hate.

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil from your deeds, from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,

Behold My servant, whom I uphold, My chosen one, in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth justice to the nations.

The man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you. For you have been brought here to show it to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

(Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men on the face of the earth.)

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him and said concerning him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

“Moses My servant is dead, so now get up and cross over the Jordan—you and all this people—to the land that I am giving to the Israelites.

Be strong and very courageous, in order to act carefully in accordance with all the law that My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn aside from it to the right or the left, so that you may succeed wherever you go.
