And they will spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped. They will not be gathered or be buried. They will be as dung upon the face of the earth.

The people to whom they prophesy will be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword. And they will have no one to bury them, not them, or their wives, or their sons, or their daughters, for I will pour out their wickedness upon them.

then you shall say to them: Because your fathers have forsaken Me, says the Lord, and have walked after other gods and have served them and have worshipped them, but have forsaken Me and have not kept My law.

They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be lamented, nor shall they be buried. But they will be as dung upon the face of the ground. And they will be consumed by the sword and by famine. And their carcasses will be food for the fowl of heaven and for the beasts of the earth.

Both the great and the small will die in this land. They will not be buried; neither will men lament for them, cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.

And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be defiled as the place of Topheth, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.

He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

The slain of the Lord on that day will be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They will not be lamented or gathered or buried. They will be as dung on the ground.

The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the Kidron Valley, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, will be holy to the Lord. It will not be plucked up nor thrown down any more forever.

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: He shall have no one to sit on the throne of David. And his dead body shall be cast out to the heat of the day and the frost of the night.

Yet hear the word of the Lord, O you women, and let your ear receive the word of His mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and everyone her neighbor a lamentation.

“For death has come up into our windows; and has entered our palaces, to cut off the children from the streets, and the young men from the squares.”

Speak, Thus says the Lord: “The carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the sheaf after the harvester, and no one shall gather them.”

I will abandon you to the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers; you shall fall upon the open field; you shall not be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the fowl of the heavens.

You shall fall upon the open field, for I have spoken, says the Lord God.

I will lay the dead corpses of the Israelites before their idols. And I will scatter your bones all around your altars.

He brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east. And they worshipped the sun toward the east.

I will bring distress on men, so that they will walk like blind men. Because they have sinned against the Lord, their blood will be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung.

and those who bow down on the roofs to the host of heaven; those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord and yet swear by Milcom;

But God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the Prophets: ‘O House of Israel, have you offered to Me slain animals and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?

and has gone and served other gods and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded,

And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are led astray and worship them, and serve them, that which the Lord your God has allotted to all nations under the whole heaven.
