Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people from a far country: “Is not the Lord in Zion? Is not her king in her?” “Why have they provoked Me to anger with their graven images, with foreign vanities?”

Blessed be the Lord from Zion, He who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept when we remembered Zion.

The Lord shall reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord!

Let Israel rejoice in his maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

I have hated those who regard worthless idols, but I trust in the Lord.

Alas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they are estranged and backward.

Cry out and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion. For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, the Lord and the weapons of His indignation, to destroy the whole land.

for the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us.

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, “What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?” And Hezekiah said, “They have come to me from a far country, from Babylon.”

Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer enter you.

They are vain and a work of mockery; in the time of their punishment they shall perish.

Have You utterly rejected Judah? Has Your soul loathed Zion? Why have You stricken us so that there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but there was nothing good; and for the time of healing, but behold, trouble!

Why should You be as a man dismayed, as a mighty man who cannot save? Yet You, O  Lord, are in our midst, and we are called by Your name. Do not forsake us!

Thus says the Lord: What iniquity have your fathers found in Me, that they have gone far from Me, and have walked after vanity and have become vain?

For they prophesy a lie to you in order to remove you far from your land. And I will drive you out, and you shall perish.

For there will be a day when the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim will proclaim, “Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.”

Indeed the Israelites and the Judahites have only done evil before Me from their youth. For the Israelites have only provoked Me to anger with the work of their hands, says the Lord.

Do they provoke Me to anger? says the Lord. Do they not provoke themselves to the shame of their own faces?

“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”

I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.

The circumference shall be eighteen thousand cubits. And the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord Is There.

And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

I will avenge their blood, which I have not yet avenged. The Lord dwells in Zion!

But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and it shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess those who dispossessed them.

Now why do you cry loudly? Have you no king? Has your counselor perished, that agony has seized you like the woman in labor?

The Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you will see evil no more.

For I will swing My hand against them, and they will become plunder for their servants. Then you will know well that the Lord of Hosts has sent Me.

“Men, why are you doing this? We also are men, of like nature with you, preaching to you to turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,

Then My anger will burn against them on that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they will be devoured, and many disasters and troubles will befall them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is not among us?’

“To the angel of the church of Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, says these things:
