All those who know you among the people are astonished at you; you are a terror, and you shall cease to be forever.

Is it not from the Lord of Hosts that the people labor to feed fire, and the nations weary themselves for nothing?

Another angel followed, saying, “ ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon, that Great City,’ because she made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality.”

He cried out mightily with a loud voice, saying: “ ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hateful bird.

Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying: “With such violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more.
