Jeremiah 51:5

For Israel has not been forsaken, nor Judah, by his God, the Lord of Hosts, though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to the other; besides his sin he caused Judah to sin by doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

For though we were slaves, our God has not forsaken us in our bondage but has extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, granting us a reviving for the rebuilding of the house of our God, for the repairing of its ruins, and for giving us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

For the Lord will not abandon His people, nor will He abandon His heritage.

Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you; you are My servant; O Israel, you shall not be forgotten by Me.

But I am the Lord your God who divided the sea whose waves roared; the Lord of Hosts is His name.

They shall call them The Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, a City Not Forsaken.

Have You utterly rejected Judah? Has Your soul loathed Zion? Why have You stricken us so that there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but there was nothing good; and for the time of healing, but behold, trouble!

Why should You be as a man dismayed, as a mighty man who cannot save? Yet You, O  Lord, are in our midst, and we are called by Your name. Do not forsake us!

First I will doubly recompense their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things.

Because they have forsaken Me and have profaned this place by making offerings in it to other gods whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known, and have filled this place with the blood of the innocent,

Therefore thus says the Lord of Hosts concerning the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them with wormwood and make them drink the water of gall, for from the prophets of Jerusalem profaneness has gone out into all the land.”

Thus says the Lord: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says the Lord.

Do not fear, O Jacob My servant, says the Lord, for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you. However, I will not make a full end of you, but correct you in measure, and I will not leave you wholly unpunished.

In those days and at that time, says the Lord, the iniquity of Israel will be sought for, and there shall be none. And the sins of Judah, but they shall not be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.

The portion of Jacob is not like them, for He is the former of all things, and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. The Lord of Hosts is His name.

Then He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence and have continually provoked Me to anger. And behold, they put the branch to their nose.

Then He said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city is full of perverseness, for they say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see.’

Yet the number of the Israelites will be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And in the place where it was said to them, “You are not My people,” there it will be said to them, “You are the sons of the living God.”

Say to your brothers, Ammi, and to your sisters, Ruhamah.

lest I strip her naked and leave her as in the day that she was born, and turn her into a wilderness, and turn her into a dry land, and kill her with thirst.

Hear the word of the Lord, O Israelites, for the Lord has a dispute with the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth or mercy, and no knowledge of God in the land.

Swearing, lying, and killing, and stealing and adultery break out, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.

Who is a God like You, bearing iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not remain angry forever, because He delights in benevolence.

You will give faithfulness to Jacob and benevolence to Abraham, which You swore to our fathers from the days of old.

On that day I will set Judah like a fiery pot among wood and as a flaming torch among cut grain. And they will devour to the right and left all the surrounding peoples, while Jerusalem will still reside in her place, the place of Jerusalem.

On that day the Lord will defend those residing in Jerusalem; and even the one who stumbles among them will be as David on that day. And the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord going out before them.

And the Lord will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and He will again choose Jerusalem.

As befits His great name, the Lord will not abandon His people. For it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.
