Therefore thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
When the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of his high looks.”
All nations shall serve him and his son and his son’s son until the time of his own land comes; and then many nations and great kings will make him their servant.
For this is the day of the Lord God of Hosts, a day of vengeance, so that He may avenge Himself of His adversaries. And the sword will devour; and it will be satiated and made drunk with their blood; for the Lord God of Hosts has a slaughter in the north country by the Euphrates River.
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the people will plunder you, because of the bloodshed of men and violence of the land, of the cities and all who live in them.
