You said, “Alas, woe is me! For the Lord has added grief to my sorrow. I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.”

Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

I believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Deep calls to deep at the thunder of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and Your billows have gone over me.

I am weary with my groaning; all night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.

My eyes waste away from grief; they grow weak because of all my enemies.

I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; my eyes grow dim while I wait for my God.

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to you, O Baruch:

My sorrow is beyond healing; my heart is faint within me.

Oh, that my head were waters and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

From on high He has sent fire into my bones, and it prevailed against them; He has spread a net for my feet; He turned me back; He has made me desolate and faint all the day long.

Let all their wickedness come before You, and do to them as You have done to me for all my transgressions; for my groans are many, and my heart is faint.

But though He causes grief, yet He will have compassion according to the abundance of His mercies.

Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy we have received, we do not lose heart.

For this reason we do not lose heart: Even though our outward man is perishing, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.

And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not give up.

But you, brothers, do not be weary in doing good.
