O  Lord, are not Your eyes upon the truth? You have stricken them, but they have not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? They were not at all ashamed, nor could they blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them they shall be cast down, says the Lord.

But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, seeing you are under the same sentence?

This is correct. They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear.

Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been revealed.”
