Take some large stones in your hand and hide them in the clay in the brick kiln which is at the entrance of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah,

You also, son of man, take a brick and lay it before you and inscribe a city on it, even Jerusalem.

I have spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and through the prophets I will bring destruction.

Draw water for the siege! Strengthen your forts! Go into the clay and tread the mortar! Take hold of the brick mold!

When he had arrived, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own hands and feet, saying, “The Holy Spirit says, ‘In this manner the Jews at Jerusalem shall bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’ ”

Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying: “With such violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more.
