and say to them, Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hidden; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

When Ben-hadad heard this message as he was drinking with the kings in the pavilions, he said to his servants, “Station yourselves!” And they stationed themselves against the city.

They went out at noon. But Ben-hadad and the thirty-two kings who helped him were getting drunk in the pavilions.

He made darkness His secret place; His pavilion surrounding Him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion; in the shelter of His tabernacle He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

You will hide them in the shelter of Your presence from the plots of man; You will keep them secretly in a shelter from contentious tongues.

it is I who says of Cyrus, “He is My shepherd, and shall perform all My desire”; and he declares to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” and to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.”

Thus says the Lord to Cyrus, His anointed, whose right hand I have held — to subdue nations before him and to loosen the loins of kings, to open doors before him so that the gates will not be shut:

For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the Lord. And they will come and they will set each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.

Take some large stones in your hand and hide them in the clay in the brick kiln which is at the entrance of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah,

The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, about Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon coming to strike the land of Egypt.

And I will set My throne in Elam and will destroy from there the king and the officials, says the Lord.

One-third of you shall die by pestilence or by famine; they shall be consumed in your midst. And one-third shall fall by the sword all around you. And I will scatter one-third into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

It is He who changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who know understanding.

When the king heard about it, he was angry. He sent in his army and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city.
