Jeremiah set out from Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin to take possession of his property there among the people.

When he saw that she was serious, he arose and ran for his life to Beer-sheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

He came to a cave and camped there. And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, “Why are you here, Elijah?”

Now when the army of the Chaldeans had withdrawn from Jerusalem at the approach of Pharaoh’s army,

But when they persecute you in this city, escape into another. For truly I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Abstain from all appearances of evil.
