now therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing upon them the strong and plentiful waters of the Euphrates River, even the king of Assyria and all his glory; and he shall come up over all his channels and go over all his banks.

For behold, I will bring a flood of waters on the earth to destroy all flesh, wherever there is the breath of life under heaven, and everything that is on the earth will die.

I shall make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plummet; then the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong, as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty overflowing waters, He has cast it down to the earth with His hand.

When you pass through waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

The Lord shall bring upon you, and upon your people, and upon your father’s house, days that have not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah, even the king of Assyria.”

In that same day the Lord shall shave with a hired razor, from regions beyond the River, with the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the legs, and it shall also remove the beard.

Thus says the Lord: Behold, waters rise up out of the north and will be an overflowing flood, and will overflow the land, and all that is in it, the city and those who dwell in it. Then the men shall cry out and all the inhabitants of the land will howl

The sea has come up over Babylon; she has been covered with the multitude of the waves.

For thus says the Lord God: When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep upon you and great waters shall cover you,

His sons shall wage war and assemble a multitude of armed forces. One shall advance like a flood and pass through, and again shall wage the war as far as his fortress.

A flood of armies shall be swept away before him and be broken, and the prince of the covenant as well.

After the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the troops of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall come with a flood. And until the end of the war desolations are determined.

Will not the land tremble because of this, and everyone mourn who lives on it? It will all rise up like the Nile, and be tossed around, then sink like the Nile of Egypt.

The Lord God of Hosts, He who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live on it mourn; it all rises up like the Nile, and subsides like the river of Egypt;

For her wound is mortal, for it has come to Judah; it has extended to the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.

He will stand and shepherd in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; then they will live securely, because now He will be great until the ends of the earth;

and He will be their peace. When Assyria enters our land and treads through our palaces, then we will raise up against him seven shepherds and eight commanders of men.

As a flood running forth, He will bring to an end the distress, and He will pursue His adversaries into darkness.

He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on rock. When the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, but could not shake it, for it was founded on rock.

Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.
