He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar and will hiss at them from the ends of the earth; and behold, they shall come speedily and swiftly.

May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.

And what will you do in the day of punishment and in the desolation which shall come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth?

He shall set up a banner for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Lift up a banner on the high mountain, exalt the voice to them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

I have commanded My sanctified ones, I have also called My mighty ones for My anger, even those who rejoice in My exaltation.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The Lord of Hosts musters the army for battle.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, the Lord and the weapons of His indignation, to destroy the whole land.

All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth: When he lifts up a banner on the mountains, you will see it; and when he blows a trumpet, you will hear it.

and you said, “No, for we will flee on horses”; therefore you shall flee. “And we will ride on swift horses”; therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.

He shall cross over to his stronghold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the banner,” says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, “What did these men say, and from where did they come to you?” And Hezekiah said, “They have come to me from a far country, from Babylon.”

In that day the Lord shall whistle for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are ruined!

Behold, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, says the Lord. It is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor do you understand what they say.

Set up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz; appoint a captain against her. Cause the horses to come up as the rough locusts.

Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the skies. They pursued us on the mountains; they lay in wait for us in the wilderness.

Thus says the Lord God: Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?

Like mighty men they run, like men of war they scale a wall; each marches on his way, they do not swerve from their paths.

Their horses are swifter than leopards, more fierce than evening wolves. Their horsemen charge on; their horsemen come from afar; they fly like the eagle that hastens to eat.

I will whistle to them and gather them in, for I have ransomed them; they will be numerous as they were numerous before.

For from the rising of the sun to its setting, My name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to My name, and a pure offering, for My name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of Hosts.

The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand,
