For an empty-headed man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man.

Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who render a reason.

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.

For he says: “By the strength of my hand and by my wisdom, I have done it, for I am prudent; and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.

For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, “No one sees me”; your wisdom and your knowledge have perverted you; and you have said in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.”

Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools.

For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you be wise in your own estimation, for a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not pretend to be wiser than you are.
