For My name’s sake I will defer My anger, and for My praise I will restrain it for you so that you are not cut off.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power known.

Revive me, O  Lord, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them. He often restrained His anger, and did not stir up all His wrath;

The discretion of a man defers his anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.

Therefore, the Lord longs to be gracious to you, and therefore, He waits on high to have mercy on you; for the Lord is a God of justice; how blessed are all who long for Him.

For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for the sake of My servant David.”

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

For My own sake, even for My own sake, I will do it; for how can My name be polluted? And I will not give My glory to another.

Thus says the Lord: As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, “Do not destroy it for a blessing is in it,” so I will do for the sake of My servants that I may not destroy them all.

O  Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do it for Your name’s sake. Indeed, our backslidings are many; we have sinned against You.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the nations in whose sight I brought them out.

Nevertheless I withdrew My hand and acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the nations in whose sight I brought them out.

You shall know that I am the Lord when I have dealt with you for My name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel, says the Lord God.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the nations among whom they were, in whose sight I made Myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

But I had pity for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.

The Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land may hear, turn on us, and cut off our name from the earth. What will You do for Your great name?”

As befits His great name, the Lord will not abandon His people. For it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.
