Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing declare, proclaim this, utter it even to the ends of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob.”

And who is like Your people, like Israel—a single nation in the land, whom God went to redeem as a people for Himself, making a name for Himself by doing great and awesome things for Your land, before Your people whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, a nation and its gods.

Now these are the people of the province who went up from the captivity of the exiles, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and came again to Jerusalem and Judah. Each returned to his own city.

When the Lord brought back the captives of Zion, we were like those who dream.

And in that day you shall say: O  Lord, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You comforted me.

In that day you shall say: Praise the Lord, call upon His name, declare His deeds among the peoples, make them remember that His name is exalted.

They lift up their voices; they sing for the majesty of the Lord; they cry aloud from the west.

In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; He appoints walls and bulwarks for security.

Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the coastlands, and the inhabitants.

But now, thus says the Lord who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and your sins, as a cloud. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

You have heard; see all this. And will you not declare it? I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them.

Sing, O heavens! And be joyful, O earth! And break forth into singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have mercy on His afflicted.

He says, “It is a light thing that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make you a light to the nations so that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”

The exile shall soon be freed, and shall not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking.

The Lord has bared His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Depart, depart, go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out of the midst of her; be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.

Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem. For the Lord has comforted His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the ends of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation comes; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.”

In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His mercy He redeemed them; and He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the coastlands far off, and say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.”

For the Lord has redeemed Jacob and ransomed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

Set up road marks, place guideposts. Set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went. Turn back, O virgin of Israel, turn back to these your cities.

Declare among the nations and proclaim, and set up a standard; do not conceal it, but say, Babylon has been captured. Bel has been humiliated. Marduk has been broken in pieces; her idols have been humiliated; her images have been broken in pieces.

There is the sound of those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance of His temple.

Wander away out of the midst of Babylon, and go out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the male goats before the flocks.

My people, come forth from her midst! Let every man deliver his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord!

Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is in it, shall sing for joy over Babylon; for the destroyers will come to her from the north, says the Lord.

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and each of you deliver his soul! Do not be cut off in her punishment, for this is the time of the vengeance of the Lord; He will render to her a recompense.

I will whistle to them and gather them in, for I have ransomed them; they will be numerous as they were numerous before.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for I am coming and will dwell in your midst, says the Lord.

If any of you are driven out to the outmost parts of heaven, from there will the Lord your God gather you, and from there He will get you.

“Rejoice over her, O heaven and saints and apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you against her.”

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying: “ ‘Come out of her, my people,’ lest you partake in her sins, and lest you receive her plagues.
