Put Me in remembrance; let us plead together; state your cause, that you may be justified.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear and say, “It is true.”

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Let my prayer be set as incense before You, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

For, being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

Keep silent before Me, O islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

He who vindicates me is near; who will contend with me? Let us stand up to each other. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.

Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his neighbor!

You said, ‘I will surely prosper you and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which is too many to be counted.’ ”

“Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be repaid to him?”

He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed before men is an abomination before God.

Thus says the Lord God: This also I will let the house of Israel ask Me to do for them: I will increase their men like a flock.

But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.
