until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Then each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.

“On that day, says the Lord of Hosts, each of you will invite your companion to come and sit under the vine and under the fig tree.”

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers to go ahead to you and arrange beforehand your bountiful gift you previously promised, that it might be prepared as a gift, not as a matter of greed.

The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days, that we may send messengers to all the territory of Israel. And then if there is no one to rescue us, we will come out to you.”

Now let this blessing which your maidservant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord.
